Ipod Touch 2nd Generation – What You Want to Know

Well, the 2nd Generation of the Ipod Touch is now released and everyone wants to know how it measures up to the original. The first thing worth mentioning is that it’s being released for much less that the original Ipod Touch was. You can get a 32GB 2nd Generation touch for $399 (which is what a 16GB original cost).

The 2nd Generation design is sleeker and slimmer than the original (which I didn’t think was possible). The length is 4.3 inches and the width is 2.4…what shocked me was that it is only 0.33 inches thick and weighs only 4 Ounces! Very comfortable. There’s a built in speaker (which is convenient) and the options for some better headphones for $79 (the earbuds are the same typical earbuds).

Here’s an interesting feature…the Genius Playlist. Let’s say you’re listening to a particular song that you like and you want other songs that will go well with it…The 2nd Generation Touch has you covered. It’ll create an entire playlist off of just one song and it does a pretty good job too.

The biggest feature that the 2nd Generation features is it’s Gaming Capability. That’s right…and not just cheasy games. Games like Spore are a great example of what’s to come. Very shortly we’re going to see a revolution in 3D gaming for the Ipod and Iphone.

The New Ipod Touch is being called the “funnest Ipod Ever” and this is why (this is also why that built in speaker comes in handy).
